Safrom is an early global travel-safety map. It turns varied public evidence into a consistent 0–100 reference while keeping source scope, freshness and confidence visible.
How to read it
Higher scores mean safer on every Safrom scale. The overall score summarizes seven dimensions; confidence describes evidence quality, not safety. A lower-confidence 82 is not automatically more certain than a well-supported 78.
What is available now
The Public Alpha includes 31 city estimates and detailed area layers for Mexico City, Paris and Tokyo. City coverage can use documented national or regional fallbacks; area colors appear only where area-level evidence exists.
What the score does not say
A city average cannot describe every street, hour or traveler. Safrom does not provide live incident alerts, predict individual outcomes, or replace local guidance and official travel advisories.
Product principles
The first release favors useful reference over false precision.
- Use one intuitive direction: higher is safer.
- Show confidence and evidence date beside the score.
- Do not infer neighborhood colors from a city average.
- Keep current temporary conditions separate from the structural baseline.
