Every score should be traceable to its evidence scope.
Safrom combines official statistics, structural indicators and traveler guidance. Each city detail identifies the registered sources actually used for that estimate.
Evidence hierarchy
City-local evidence is preferred. When it is unavailable, Safrom may use documented country or regional fallbacks and lowers confidence accordingly. Official travel advisories can inform current conditions without silently replacing the baseline.
Seven dimensions
The model covers property and scams, personal violence, mobility, health and rescue, conflict and stability, disaster and environment, and infrastructure response. The dimension help buttons in each city panel explain what each category contains.
Freshness and confidence
The evidence date is the newest material date in the estimate. Confidence reflects geographic fit, recency, completeness and source quality. It is not a margin of error and should not be read as a second safety score.
Corrections and disputes
Factual errors—wrong dates, values, boundaries or source attribution—should be reported with a verifiable source. A disagreement with weighting is also welcome, but should be identified as a method critique rather than a factual correction.
