Full calendar year 2024, selected from the Athens GIS Repository January 2023–May 2025 snapshot of the Greek government Road Traffic Collision Map. Only records labelled Municipality of Athens and spatially inside one unambiguous municipal community are counted. Local metric is mapped recorded road collisions per square kilometre, not a per-trip crash probability. Traffic volume, road length, reporting and junction activity affect this concentration; severity is not available in the snapshot. Seven municipal communities dissolved from 144 named neighbourhood polygons. One polygon without a community assignment remains unscored. 17 spatial matches labelled other municipalities, 26 Athens-labelled points outside named polygons, and 6 points in the unassigned polygon are excluded. Prepared by Konstantinos Markos, Athens GIS Repository, from gov.gr and City of Athens sources; CC BY 4.0. Safrom filters the year, checks municipal labels, aggregates and scores; no individual collision points are republished. https://athensgis.gr/about#license-and-citation Boundary geometry is generalized orientation data uploaded December 2025. Local records and boundaries have different vintages; strict label-and-spatial agreement prevents assigning border disagreements to nearby areas. The citywide score uses Greece national priors. Local evidence adjusts only mobility.
